History
Ultramar group is a holding of marine and port companies, created in 1952 and owned by the Von Appen family. Nowadays, it has become one of the most important groups in Latin America, with a patrimony estimated to be around 1.000 million dollars.
They operate in Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brasil, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
The Ultramar group is composed by shipping company Transmares and Ultragas; and port agencies, Ultramar, Ultraterra, Ultraport, Depocargo and Sintrans. It also participates in the representation of the airlines Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, Hahn Air, Qatar Airways and Air Europa.
